Every book here started as a plot twist.

A plot twist is the part of the story you didn’t choose.

Sometimes it’s wonderful — the unexpected turn that makes the whole thing better. And sometimes it’s a phone call at 4 a.m., or a diagnosis, or a marriage that ends, or a job that goes away, and suddenly you’re living inside a story you never agreed to and have no idea how to narrate.

I make journals for both. But I want to be honest about which one I know best.

I’m a certified journal therapy coach and a grief support practitioner, and most of my work now is with people in the middle of the second kind. What I’ve learned in that work is that the pen is not there to make you feel better. It’s there so you can find out what you actually think, in your own handwriting, without anyone waiting for you to be okay.

Everything on this page is built on that. Some of these books are bright and some are quiet. Take whichever one meets you where you are.

Journals

A journal is just a container. What matters is whether it’s the right shape for what you’re carrying. Some people need a question to answer. Some people need to be left alone with a blank page. I’ve made both, in pairs, so you don’t have to force yourself into someone else’s format.

The Starring Me! Journal

For finding yourself again on the page.

When your life changes, you lose track of who you are in it. People will ask how you’re doing and you’ll realize you have no idea, because you haven’t been anywhere near yourself in weeks.

This is a guided journal for getting back on the page. The prompts ask about your life the way a good friend would — curious, unhurried, genuinely interested in the answer. Some days that means writing down something good that happened. Some days it means finally admitting what’s actually going on.

It’s part keepsake and part self-discovery, and it works whether you’re marking a milestone or just trying to remember what your own voice sounds like.

Perfect for:

  • Daily reflection, on the good days and the flat ones

  • Milestones, changes, and the seasons in between

  • Anyone who’s lost the thread of their own story and wants it back

Starring Me! [Unscripted]

No prompts. No rules. Just you and the page.

Some days a prompt is one more thing asking something of you.

This is the open-format companion to The Starring Me! Journal — same spirit, no questions. Write, doodle, rant, list, or fill four pages with the same sentence until it stops needing to be written. Nobody is going to read it. That’s the point.

I keep one of these going alongside my guided journal at all times, for the entries that don’t fit anywhere else.

Perfect for:

  • Freewriting and creative expression

  • The thoughts that arrive at 2 a.m. and won’t wait for a prompt

  • Anyone whose story is messy right now and needs room for that

The Possible: Starring Me!

For the future you have to build after the one you planned stopped being available.

This is the book I’d hand to someone six months out.

Early on, the future is unbearable to think about. But eventually there comes a strange, difficult stretch where you realize you’re still here, and you’re going to keep being here, and nobody has told you what to do with that. The life you had mapped out isn’t coming. Something has to go in its place.

The Possible is a guided vision journal for exactly that work. Not manifesting — rebuilding. The prompts and goal-mapping pages help you write toward a future you can’t see clearly yet, in pieces small enough to hold. Some days that’s a five-year plan. Some days it’s naming one thing you’d like to still be true a year from now.

You don’t have to want any of it yet. You just have to be willing to write it down and see how it looks.

Perfect for:

  • Imagining forward when the old plan is gone

  • Setting goals that mean something, at whatever size you can manage

  • Anyone standing at a beginning they didn’t ask for

The Possible: Starring Me! [Unscripted]

Blank pages. Your future, unstructured.

The open-page companion to The Possible. Same territory, no scaffolding.

For people who think in sketches, arrows, and lists rather than paragraphs — or for anyone who finds that a prompt about the future arrives before they’re ready to answer it. Map it, draw it, brainstorm it sideways. Blank space is a legitimate way to work.

Perfect for:

  • Vision work and creative planning

  • Brainstorming what’s next without a format to fight

  • Anyone who’d rather map their future than describe it
